Description

The 'Brown Betty' teapot was created in Stoke on Trent; the heartland of British potters in the 19th century. Locally quarried red clay was used due to its affordability and durable properties. The clay was also known for its heat retention - perfect for teapots! Price and Kensington teapots have continued to evolve since the Brown Betty days by developing a range of fashion-led colour palettes for today's life. Ranging from soft neutral shades to vibrant, bright tones whilst retaining the historic form and function of the 'Betty' teapot with a drip-free spout. The two cup and six cup sizes can now be used with or without a fine mesh stainless steel filter allowing even the finest loose leaf tea to be perfectly infused.
